To run or not to run, that is the question.

So, in an effort to get my running mojo back online about 3 months ago I signed up for a local half marathon. Training was going well, I did a 10k as part of the prep and was feeling pretty confident. But then disaster struck – I fell over, damaging my knees. A few days off turned into a few weeks and my motivation went down the pan alongwith my preparation.

I picked myself last week and did go out for a 5 mile run, which went very well. But even if I do manage to get out and do a long run tonight, it means my longest run in preparation will have been only 7 miles.

The question is, do I go for it and run on Sunday? Obviously it wouldn’t be for time, but at this stage I’m debating even I’d be able to get round the course. 7 miles is a long way off 13.1miles.

Would you go for it?
